Por qué el sitio pierde al cliente después de la reunión

Por Hernan Moya

La reunión salió bien y después se hizo silencio. El sitio no falló en atraerlos, falló en confirmarlos.

Tabla de contenidos

You have the meeting. It goes well. They say they will look at the site and come back to you, and then they do not. The site did not fail to attract them, it failed to confirm them, and those are different problems with different fixes.

The meeting and the site say different things

In the room you talk about outcomes. On the site you talk about services. Someone who liked you in person arrives looking for the thing you said, and finds a list of what you sell.

What a confirming page does

It repeats the promise, in the same words, where they land. That is usually the home page and one service page, and it is mostly writing rather than design.

  • Name the problem the way they described it.
  • Show one piece of proof, not six.
  • Make the next step smaller than "get in touch".

The proof problem

Most sites put their proof where it cannot be checked: a logo wall with no story, or a testimonial with no name. One case study with a real number beats twelve logos.

Where to start

Read your own home page as the person who just left your meeting. If it does not answer what you talked about, that is the page to fix first.
